On The Job: London Heishman

Nherie & London

Last month I had the pleasure of meeting a Miss Teen USA candidate (hopeful) London Heishman on one of my sessions with photographer John Herzog. Check out the final shots.  Hair and makeup by  me @beautybynherie

You know it's a good shot when you can look at it straight out of the camera, no edits or filters and it's still an amazing shot. For the hair, a quick heated curling iron along the ends of the hair then pin curled up while makeup was applied then combed out gently, gave enough curl and body without adding too much heat and product on the hair.

With this look, we did a  sultry smoky eye and smudgy liner on the bottom lash. Lips were nude/pink. Eyebrows were filled in but not overdrawn. Foundation was fuller coverage crème to powder. Blush was a combination of bronzer, pink and pink highlight. Mascara. Concealer really helped enhance the eyes!

For this look, my signature look which is minimal makeup was on display. Strip lashes to open the eyes along with subtle flesh tone/pink eyeshadow and bronzer in the crease. Mascara. No eye liner used on the bottom lash line. Blush was minimal with a touch of bronzer for cheek contour. Lips were popped with a deep rose pink lipstick and sheen of gloss. The key to a clean makeup look is taking time to blend the foundation. Use the lightest touch for application and stipple...a lot.

This makeup look was similar to the previous smoky eye look. It's amazing how the change of an outfit and a different pose will enhance a makeup look in a new way. The white brightens the makeup, giving it a natural glam look.
